Prayer Before Using The Internet

The patron saint of the internet is Isidore of Seville, who tried to record everything ever known. In 1997 Pope John Paul II declared Isidore of Seville the patron saint of the internet.

Prayer to St. Isidore before going on the Internet
Almighty and Eternal God, who created us in Thy image and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the Divine Person of Thy only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Grant we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, bishop and doctor, during our journey through the internet, we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

    intercede for my family,
that we be provided for in our neccessities.
I ask of thee, Saint Martha,
    to overcome all difficulties

and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

St. Rita’s Powerful Prayer for Impossible Cases

Image result for saint rita

Here’s is a beautiful prayer to St. Rita for any intention:

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita,
whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible,
who for thy lavishness in granting favors
hast been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the impossible.
St. Rita, so humble, so pure,
so mortified,
so patient and of such compassionate love
for thy Crucified Jesus,
that thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest,
on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee expecting,
if not always relief, at least comfort;
be propitious to our petition,
showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant;
be lavish to us,
as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases,
for the greater glory of God,
for the spreading of thine own devotion,
and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.
We promise, if our petition is granted,
to glorify thee by making know thy favor,
to bless and sing thy praises forever.
Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
we pray thee grant that [here mention your request].
By the singular merits of thy childhood,
Obtain for us our request.
By thy perfect union with the Divine Will,
Obtain for us our request.
By thy heroic sufferings during thy married life,
Obtain for us our request.
By the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband,
Obtain for us our request.
By the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God,Obtain for us our request.
By the miraculous entrance into the convent,Obtain for us our request.
By thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourgings,
Obtain for us our request.
By the suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy Crucified Savior,
Obtain for us our request.
By the Divine love which consumed thy heart,
Obtain for us our request.
By that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament,
Obtain for us our request.
On which alone thou didst exist for four years,
Obtain for us our request.
By the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse,
Obtain for us our request.
By the perfect example thou gavest to people of every state of life.
Obtain for us our request.
Pray for us, O holy St. Rita,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
O God,
Who in Thine infinite tenderness
hast vouchsafed to regard the prayer of Thy servant,
Blessed Rita,
and dost grant to her supplication
that which is impossible to human foresight, skill and efforts,
in reward of her compassionate love and firm reliance on Thy promise,
have pity on our adversity and succor us in our calamities,
that the unbeliever may know Thou art the recompense of the humble,
the defense of the helpless,
and the strength of those who trust in Thee,
through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

Saint Rita is the Patron Saint of Abuse victims & Impossible Causes

Born: 1381, Roccaporena, Italy
Died: 22 May 1457, Cascia, Italy
Full name: Margherita Lotti
Feast: May 22

She is the patron saint of impossible cases, sterility, abuse victims, loneliness, marriage difficulties, parenthood, widows, the sick, bodily ills, and wounds. Rita's body, which has remained incorrupt over the centuries, is venerated today in the shrine at Cascia, which bears her name. Roses are her symbol.
The prayer to St. Rita, like her miracles, helps remind us indeed that “all things are possible with God,” as Jesus said in Mark’s gospel (10:27).

PRAYERS AND MEDITATIONS ON THE ROSARY FOR THE UNBORN

Rosary for the Unborn

If you have been inspired by any or all of these words, please use the share button to inspire others by sharing with them. God bless you as you share to inspire others.
Opening Prayer
Celestial Queen, with this rosary we bind all sinners and all nations to your Immaculate Heart.

When you pray the rosary, pray with love in your heartDo not just recite words. The more love you have in your heart, the more powerful your prayers. I receive your every prayer and join it to My Own. Then I present our prayers to My Beloved Son. He awaits our prayers with great anticipation. He has a purpose for every rosary – every prayer – always for the welfare of souls. Every prayer is of value, whether it is an entire rosary or just a few Hail Marys. ….”
“When you pray the rosary with a loving heart, dear children, unite your prayer to every Hail Mary being recited in the present moment around the world. That way, I can send stronger nutrients of grace into your hearts and your lives. Such a rosary can deliver the most hardened sinner from Purgatory, convert the stoniest of hearts, strengthen vocations and resolve discord.”
“Take seriously My Call to you to pray the Rosary of the Unborn to put an end to abortion. This is the hope of an end to this evil. I assure you, all of Heaven is praying with you. Your efforts in this regard console the Mournful Heart of My Jesus.”

Prayer to Be Said Before the Rosary “Heavenly Father, during this time of world crisis, let all souls find their peace and security in Your Divine Will. Give each soul the grace to understand that Your Will is Holy Love in the present moment.”

“Benevolent Father, illuminate each conscience to see the ways that he is not living in Your Will. Grant the world the grace to change and the time in which to do it. Amen.”
“This prayer should be recited at the beginning of the rosary and before the Creed. Besides that, it needs to be propagated far and wide. I charge My Missionary Servants of Holy Love with this task.” (Blessed Virgin Mary, 9/28/01)

“Divine Infant Jesus, as we pray this rosary, we ask you to remove from the heart of the world the desire to commit the sin of abortion.
Remove the veil of deceit Satan has placed over hearts which portrays promiscuity as a freedom, and reveal it for what it is– slavery to sin.”
“Place over the heart of the world a renewed respect for life at the moment of conception. Amen.”

Ejaculation for the Unborn to be prayed at the end of the decade

Jesus, protect and save the unborn

Our Lady appears holding a rosary made of all red roses. She says: “Praise be to Jesus. I have come to help you see that many parts make up the whole. When all these roses or Hail Marys are put together, they can equal one prayer and one prayer intention.”
Then Blessed Mother shows me a picture which outlines Her requested intentions for the rosary.

image

“I invite you to see that each of these intentions is pro-life:”
“No.1 You seek My protection over the unborn.”
“No. 2 You pray for guidance for all involved in the abortion
industry and mothers considering abortion.”
“No. 3 You pray for the conversion of anyone who supports
abortion.
“No. 4 You pray for government leaders who support abortion.”
“No. 5 You pray for any religious leader who does not speak out
against abortion.”
“So you see how all the parts make up a pro-life rosary.”

Blessed Mother says: “Praise be to Jesus.”
“My Son graciously allows His Most Sacred Heart to be touched by those who pray the Rosary of the Unborn from the heart. For this reason, and because He has much compassion on the human condition these days, He allowed Me to visit you earlier today with the meditations or intentions I gave you.”
“In the First Mystery, you pray for My protection. This can be My Motherly protection over the unborn.”
The Second Mystery invokes My guidance which would be inspiration for mothers not to abort their babies, government leaders to oppose abortion and religious leaders to act against it.”
The Third Mystery is for the conversion of souls. No one can be converted or should believe in his conversion if he still supports abortion.”
The Fourth Mystery is for all government leaders. It is paramount that legalized abortion is overturned. The future of the world depends upon it.”
The Fifth Mystery is for all religious leaders to take a stand against abortion. Not to oppose it – is to support abortion.”
“My Motherly Heart is intercessor for these needs, My children, when you pray from the heart. I am ever ready to assist you. Pray this way often.”

Pro-Life Meditations on the “Joyful Mysteries” of the Rosary

By Fr. Frank Pavone

The Annunciation

Mary is troubled by the angel’s greeting, yet rejoices to do God’s will. Let us pray that those who are troubled by their pregnancy may have the grace to trust in God’s will.

The Visitation

John the Baptist leapt for joy in his mother’s womb. We pray that people may realize that abortion is not about children who “might” come into the world, but is about children who are already in the world, living and growing in the womb, and are scheduled to be killed.

The Nativity

God Himself was born as a child. The greatness of a person does not depend on size, for the newborn King is very small. Let us pray for an end to prejudice against the tiny babies threatened by abortion.

The Presentation

The Child is presented in the Temple because the Child belongs to God. Children are not the property of their parents, nor of the government.
They – and we – belong to God Himself.

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

The boy Jesus was filled with wisdom, because He is God. Let us pray that all people may see the wisdom of His teachings about the dignity of life, and may understand that this teaching is not an opinion, but the truth.

Pro-life Meditations on the “Luminous Mysteries” of the Rosary

by Fr. Frank Pavone
First Luminous Mystery: Christ is Baptized in the Jordan
When Jesus is baptized, the Father’s voice is heard: “This is my beloved Son.” All are called to become adopted sons and daughters of God through baptism. We pray that children in the womb may be protected, so that they may be born and welcomed into the Christian community by baptism.
Second Luminous Mystery: Christ is made known at the Wedding of Cana
Jesus revealed His glory by the miracle at Cana. The new couple was blessed not only with wine, but with faith in Christ. Let us pray for strong marriages, rooted in the Lord, and open to the gift of new life.
Third Luminous Mystery: Christ proclaims the Kingdom and Calls All to Conversion
“Repent and believe the Good News.” Let us pray that these first words of Jesus’ public ministry may be heard by all who have committed abortion. May they know that the Lord calls them to conversion, and may they experience life-giving repentance.
Fourth Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration
Christ is transformed on the mountain, and the disciples see His glory. May the eyes of all people be transformed, that they may see each and every human life as a reflection of the glory of God Himself.
Fifth Luminous Mystery: Jesus gives us the Eucharist
“This is My Body, given up for you.” The Eucharist teaches us how to live and how to love. Let us pray that parents who sacrifice the babies for the sake of themselves may learn instead to put themselves aside for the sake of their babies.

Pro-Life Meditations on the “Sorrowful Mysteries” of the Rosary

By Fr. Frank Pavone

The Agony in the Garden

Let us pray for mothers and fathers who are in agony because they are tempted to abort a child. May they be given the good news that there are alternatives, and may they make use of the help that is available.

The Scourging

As Christ’s flesh was torn by the instruments of those who scourged Him, so the bodies of babies in the womb are torn by the instruments of the abortionists. Let us pray that abortionists may repent of these acts of child-killing.

The Crowning With Thorns

Jesus suffered the pain of thorns in His head, and did so silently. We pray for the mothers and fathers of aborted children. So many of them suffer deep grief and regret over a choice they can never reverse. So many suffer in silence, because others tell them it’s no big deal.

The Carrying of the Cross

Jesus was not condemned by the power of wicked people. He was condemned because of the silence of good people. Silence always helps the oppressor, never the victim. Let us pray that we may never be silent about abortion, but rather will clearly speak up to save babies from death.

The Crucifixion

As we ponder the death of Christ, let us remember the many women who have died from so-called “safe, legal” abortions. Let us ask forgiveness and mercy for them. May their memory save other women from making this tragic mistake.

Pro-Life Meditations on the “Glorious Mysteries” of the Rosary

By Fr. Frank Pavone
The Resurrection
Christ is Risen! By his Resurrection, He has destroyed the power of death, and therefore the power of abortion. The outcome of the battle for Life has already been decided: Life is victorious! Let us pray that all prolifers will spread this victory to every segment of our society.
The Ascension
By ascending to the Father’s throne, Christ takes our human nature, given to us in the womb, to the heights of heaven. He shows us that human beings are made to be raised to heaven, not thrown in the garbage. Let us pray that the world may learn this truth and reject abortion.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Advocate: He pleads our cause, for we cannot save ourselves. We pray that He will make us advocates for the babies, who cannot speak or write or vote or protest or even pray.
The Assumption
The Blessed Virgin Mary was taken body and soul into heaven because she is the Mother of God. Mother and child are united. The Assumption reminds us that they belong together. We pray that society will see that it cannot love women while killing their children, and cannot save children without helping their mothers. We pray that people will be touched by the pro-life question, “Why can’t we love them both?”
The Coronation
Mary is the Queen of the Universe. The Church teaches that she is the greatest creature, second only to God Himself. The Church defends the dignity of women. We pray that people will understand that to be pro-life means to be pro-woman, and that to be pro-woman demands that we be pro-life.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MASS IN OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE

🌸 Why do we have to go to mass every week or if possible everyday?
The Mass is the number one way God feeds us each and every week. In the Mass we are invited to encounter the True Presence of God in a way more profound and real than in any other way. It truly is the source and summit of our lives on Earth. When we approach the Mass with a deep faith and understanding of the great mystery we encounter, we will be left with a longing and desire for more. When we receive Holy Communion in faith and with an open heart we enter into communion with Jesus in the depths of our soul. He enters in, gives us Himself as our sustenance for life and transforms our hardships and struggles into joys. The Mass has an unlimited amount of power to change us and draw us closer to God. It has an unlimited amount of power to help us in life to become all that God intends us to be. In the Mass we are made one with Christ so that we can say with St. Paul, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
Perhaps that’s hard to understand but I encourage you to learn more about the Mass. I think it’s important to study it and to learn what so many of the great saints said about it. I’ve never met anyone who deeply understood the Mass who also didn’t want to attend it.

SAY THESE POWERFUL PRAYERS EVERYDAY

This Precious Blood prayers
asks for our Blessed Mother Mary’s always invaluable assistance in combating mortal sin, and is good for both morning and evening prayers. You can add a Hail Mary in her honor for this intention:

O Holy and Immaculate Virgin Mary, offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of thy Divine Son for the intention that one mortal sin may be prevented this day [or this night].

And finally we have these two prayers offering our Lord’s Precious Blood for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, one of which also calls on Mary’s assistance for us:

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. (This is known as the Prayer of St. Gertrude.)

O Eternal Father, I offer Thee, through the Immaculate Virgin Mary, the Precious Blood of Thy Son for the relief of the suffering souls in Purgatory.

Along these lines, we would like to offer these short prayers which remind us of the salvific nature of our Lord’s Precious Blood:
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus, in satisfaction for my sins, and for the needs of Holy Church.

Prayers of devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus are a great way to keep His sacrifice for us at Calvary front and center in our minds.

PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS FOR NEGLECT OF DAILY OBLIGATIONS FROM THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

PRAYER FOR DAILY NEGLECTS

PENANCE: The Sacrament by which, as a repentant sinner, I receive forgiveness of even mortal sins, and thus become again a living member of Christ’s Mystical Body. Tonight, therefore, I shall examine my conscience in preparation for a full Confession, realizing that I must have a genuine sorrow for sin, together with a determination to sin no more.

ETERNAL FATHER, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
with all Its Love, all Its sufferings, and all Its merits:

TO EXPIATE all the sins I have committed this day, and during all my life.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

TO PURIFY the good I have done poorly this day,
and during all my life.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

TO SUPPLY for the good I ought to have done,
and that I have neglected this day
and during all my life.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O MY GOD, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

the world and universe which God created in love and gave as a gift to mankind to care for. And Satan wants to destroy each soul because each of us is infinitely precious to God. However, God will not allow the world to be destroyed without mankind's full cooperation and participation. We humans are certainly cooperating. Only if Jesus returns again can this world be saved. We must PRAY PRAY PRAY for Jesus to return in His final victory over evil and Satan before we self destruct completely. Before it is too late. To say we are sorry for the choices for evil in our lives, and for our rejection of God and his goodness in our daily lives, homes, community, and world. For our forgetfulness of God and lukewarmness. To have daily personal relationship/walk with Jesus. To show kindness, compassion, gentleness towards each person in our daily lives. Mass and Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary especially (5 - 20 decades of Rosary) Our Lady of Fatima asked for the Rosario to be prayed daily, which means in Portuguese 15 decades, which English doesn't have a word for. CONSECRATION OF CHILDREN TO SAINT JOSEPH

CONSECRATION TO SAINT JOSEPH

Of Children By Their Parents

O glorious St. Joseph,

to you God committed the care
of His only begotten Son
amid the many dangers of this world.

We come to you
and ask you to take under your special protection
the children God has given us.
Through holy baptism they became children of God
and members of His holy Church.

We consecrate them to you today,
that through this consecration
they may become your foster children.
Guard them, guide their steps in life,
form their hearts after the hearts of Jesus and Mary.

St. Joseph,
who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent
when the child Jesus was lost,
protect our dear children for time and eternity.
May you be their father and counselor.
let them, like Jesus,
grow in age as well as in wisdom
and grace before God and men.
Preserve them from the corruption of this world,
and give us the grace one day
to be united with them in heaven forever.

Amen.

Praying for your health:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name. Father God, thank You that Your Word says I should prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. Thank You that Your Word says I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, and that You sent Your Word, Jesus, and healed my disease.
So Father God, because of the blood Jesus shed on Calvary—that same blood that made a way for me to approach You and receive forgiveness for all of my sins—and because of the terrible, bloody scourging Jesus endured to purchase my healing, I ask right now that You would heal my body. Let Your healing power course through my veins right now, and heal me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Lord Jesus, because You paid the price with Your blood and body for me to be healed right now, please make my body come into alignment with the perfect healing You paid for me to have. Let my brain think right in every area. Let my organs function perfectly. Let my blood be full of the right things and free from the wrong things. Remove every invading germ, virus, bacteria, malfunction, and malignant cell from my body, and restore any damage done to my body by past sicknesses.
Thank You, Father. Thank You that these things are done for me by the blood of Jesus. I receive Your healing right now, and I give You all the praise. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name. Father God, thank You that Jesus died for me to have complete and total access to You, and to everything You are.
Father, You are my Provider. You are an abundant God and You have abundance in Heaven. So Father, in Jesus’ name, I am asking that You provide abundantly for my needs today. (Describe your specific needs.) Your word says that You shall supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and those riches in Jesus go beyond anything I could imagine.
So Lord, thank You for performing Your Word. I present the blood of Jesus to You as my legal evidence that I can receive everything You’ve promised, and I plead Jesus’ blood over my finances.
Father God, let everything Jesus died for me to be and to have be manifest in my life. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done today just as Your will is done in heaven, especially in my finances.
Thank You, Father God, for providing all my needs, and thank You for being my Father who provides for me. Thank You for the blood of Jesus. In His precious name I pray. Amen.

TWO SAINTS TO INVOKE AGAINST FLOODS AND EARTHQUAKES

Image result for saint margaret of hungary

Saint Margaret of Hungary1242-1271,

Feast Day: January 18

St. Margaret is invoked against floods.
She was a princess whose parents promised her to
God in thanksgiving for repelling an enemy invasion.
They had placed her in a convent, which she would
not consent to leave. As an act of penance she
refused to bathe and tended the hopelessly sick.
Her father built her a convent of her own on an small
island in the middle of the Danube River. Whenever it
was threatened with flooding, she protected it with
prayer.

Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus213-270,

Feast Day: November 17

St. Gregory is invoked against earthquakes
and also against floods. In Beirut, Lebanon he was
a well-to-do law student; having converted to the
Catholic faith. He returned to his native city and
was made bishop for the 17 Christians who lived there.
By the time of his death he had converted all
but 17 of the pagans. Know for the charism of healing,
he could dry up streams and move tremendous
boulders by the commands of his word.
He is also the patron of Armenia and desperate
and or forgotten cases.

A PRAYER IN TIME OF EARTHQUAKE OR FLOOD
O God, Who hast established
the earth upon firm foundations,
and given the rivers their course,
graciously receive the prayers of Thy people:
and, having utterly removed the dangers of
the shaken earth, and dangerous waters.
Turn the terrors of Thy Divine wrath
into the means of the salvation of mankind;
that they who are of the earth,
and unto earth shall return,
may rejoice to find themselves citizens of
Heaven by means of a holy life.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Regard, O Lord, our humility and
forsake us not in this time of tribulation.

I deserve to suffer these things,
O Lord, for I have sinned.

Despise not, Almighty God,
Thy people who cry out to
Thee in their affliction,
but for the glory of Thy Name,
being appeased assist those who ar in tribulation.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Home Protection Against Demons

Prayer for Home Protection Against Demons – Fr. Amorth

Dear Lord Jesus, please surround me (my family/friends/home) with a perimeter of Your Love and Protection throughout the day today and every day a hundred yards in all directions.

Lord Jesus, render any demons that are here, or should try to come, deaf, dumb, and blind. Strop them of all weapons, illusions, armor, power, and authority. Disable them from communicating or interacting in any way. Bind, sever, and separate them, sending them directly to the foot of Your Cross, without manifestation or harm, to us or to anyone, to be dealt with by you Jesus as you see fit.

May Your Precious Blood cover us, the Holy Spirit fill us, Mary’s mantle of love and protection surround us, St. Joseph guide us, the Holy Angels and Saints guard and protect us from all unfortunate events. Protect us from fire, theft, vandalism, flood, storms, ailments and accidents of every sort, distress, hardship, curse, and all untoward things. I ask this all in your Name Jesus, through Mary’s intercession, now. Amen!

St. Michael, St. Joseph, St. Padre Pio, St. John Paul II, and Mother Mary, pray for us!

DO CATHOLIC PRAY TO SAINTS AND STATUES?

Image result for saints

WHY WE PRAY TO SAINTS

The Catholic Church always has taught that a Christian can worship only God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. No creature, no matter how good or beautiful--no angel, no saint, not even the Virgin Mary--deserves adoration.

This is the teaching of the creeds (Apostles' Creed: "I believe in one God"; Nicene Creed: "We believe in one God") and the catechisms (Baltimore Catechism, question 199: "By the first commandment we are commanded to offer to God alone the supreme worship that is due him") and the Church councils (Nicaea, in 325; Rome in 382; Toledo in 675; Lateran IV in 1215; Lyons in 1274; Florence in 1442; Trent from 1545-1563; Vatican I from 1869-1870).

The Catholic Church condemns polytheism and idolatry alike. Pope Dionysius condemned the division of the one God into three gods, for there can be only one God, not three (Letter to Dionysius of Alexandria, A.D. 260). Pope Damasus I condemned the worship of other gods, angels, or archangels, even when God gave them the name of "god" in the Bible (Tome of Damasus, approved at the Council of Rome, 382).

John Damascene's Apologetic Sermons Against Those Who Reject Sacred Images gives an authentic presentation of the Catholic attitude towards statues and pictures of Mary and the saints: "If we were making images of men and thought them gods and adored them as gods, certainly we would be impious. But we do not do any of these things."

The Baltimore Catechism, question 223, confirms this by teaching: "We do not pray to the crucifix or to the images and relics of the saints, but to the persons they represent."

Catholic doctrine absolutely rejects the worship of anyone but God and rejects all worship of statues, whether of Christ or the saints. What the Church does allow is praying to the saints in order to ask for their intercession with the one true God. The Church also allows one to make statues to remind a person of Christ or the saint:

"Further, the images of Christ, of the Virgin Mother of God, and of the other saints are to be kept with honor in places of worship especially; and to them due honor and veneration is to be paid--not because it is believed that there is any divinity or power intrinsic to them for which they are reverenced, nor because it is from them that something is sought, nor that a blind trust is to be attached to images as it once was by the Gentiles who placed their hope in idols (Ps. 135:15ff); but because the honor which is shown to them is referred to the prototypes which they represent.

"Thus it follows that through these images, which we kiss and before which we kneel and uncover our heads, we are adoring Christ and venerating the saints whose likenesses these images bear" (Council of Trent, Session XXV, Decree 2).
