Words That Builds Up Or Tear Down? Which Should We Speak To Others?

Ephesians 4:29

Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace to the listeners.

Before you speak, let your words pass through 3 gates:
1. Is it true?
2. Is it necessary?
3.Is it kind?

Prayer to the Miracle Worker Saint Anthony Padua

PRAYER TO SAINT ANTHONY OF PADUA

Feast day: June 13

Saint Anthony, glorious for the fame of your miracles, obtain for me from God's mercy this favor that I desire: (Mention your request). Since you were so gracious to poor sinners, do not regard my lack of virtue but consider the glory of God which will be exalted once more through you by the granting of the petition that I now earnestly present to you.

Glorious Wonderworker, Saint Anthony, father of the poor and comforter of the afflicted, I ask for your help. You have come to my aid with such loving care and have comforted me so generously. I offer you my heartfelt thanks. Accept this offering of my devotion and love and with it my earnest promise which I now renew, to live always in the love of God and my neighbor. Continue to shield me graciously with your protection, and obtain for me the grace of being able one day to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, there to praise with you the everlasting mercies of God. Amen.

Promises Of Jesus To Those Who Consecrate Themselves To His Sacred Heart

Jesus Christ promised that, in response to those who consecrate themselves and make reparations to His Sacred Heart:

1.He will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.

2.He will establish peace in their homes.

3.He will comfort them in all their afflictions.

4.He will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.

5.He will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.

6.Sinners will find in His Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.

7.Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.

8.Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

9.He will bless every place in which an image of His Heart is exposed and honored.

10.He will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

11.Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in His Heart.

12.In the excessive mercy of His Heart, His all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in His disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. His divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

The devotions attached to these promises are:

1.Receiving Communion frequently

2.First Fridays: going to Confession and receiving the Eucharist on the first Friday of each month for nine consecutive months. Many parishes will offer public First Friday devotions; if they do, you must perform First Fridays publicly. If it isn’t so offered in your parish, you can do this privately, going to Confession, receiving the Eucharist, and offering your prayers for the intention of the Holy Father.

3.Holy Hour: Eucharistic Adoration for one hour on Thursdays. (“Could you not watch one hour with me?”) Holy Hour can be made alone or as part of a group with formal prayers.

4.Celebrating of the Feast of the Sacred Heart

Prayer to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help

June 27 is the Feast Day

Our Mother of Perpetual of Help

Our Mother of Perpetual Help is one of the most well-known and loved images of the Blessed Mother for catholics. In the Philippines, the National Shrine of our Mother of Perpetual Help or commonly known as Baclaran Church has been a center of Marian devotion for many years now, with countless miracles and special graces attributed to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The Icon is more than a work of art and shows the Christian mystery of Redemption. Each part of the Icon expresses profound theological meaning:
1. Star in Our Lady’s Veil - she is the "Star of the Sea" who brought the light of Christ into our darkened world.  This star leads us to the safe port of Heaven.
2. Primary initials on either side of Our Lady's Crown -  Greek initials for "Mother of God".
3. Initials above the angel on the left - Greek initials of St. Michael the Archangel.
4. St. Michael - holding the lance and gall-sop, foreshadowing Christ's Passion and death.
5. Our Lady's Blue Garment - symbolic that she is both Virgin and Mother.
6. Jesus' and Our Lady’s  clothing - are colors of royalty.
7. Serene face of Our Lady -  contemplative of Jesus' future sufferings.
8. Tiny mouth of Our Lady - silent for prayer and recollection, speaks little.
9. Large eyes of Our Lady - to see our troubles and needs and are always turned toward us.
10. Golden background - symbol of Heaven, where both Jesus and Mary are now enthroned; this Light of Heaven radiates through both of their clothing indicating the heavenly joy they bring to human hearts.
11. Initials above the angel on the right - Greek initials of St. Gabriel the Archangel.
12. St. Gabriel - holding the cross and the nails, foreshadowing Christ’s Passion and death.
13. Initials to the right of Jesus' head - Greek initials for "Jesus Christ".
14. Our Lady’s hands holding the child Jesus possessively and lovingly - because she is His Mother.  She, too, is our loving Mother. Her hand does not clutch the hands of Jesus' tightly, but remains open, inviting us to her son, Jesus.
15. Jesus' hands are turned downward - a symbol that He is placing the Graces of Redemption in her hands. These Graces are available to any and to all who implore her for them through prayer.
16. Jesus' sandal falling from his foot - indicates the haste with which he has run to her in fear, gazing at the angels who hold the instruments of his Passion and death. The loose sandal represents Christ's divine nature, untied from the bounds of earth. The secure sandal is symbolic of His human nature.

Just as the Child Jesus fled into the arms of His  Mother when he was frightened, so too, do we flee into the arms of our Blessed Mother with child-like confidence whenever fear envelopes our hearts. We can always come to her in our time of need...

PRAYER

Oh Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke your powerful name, the protection of the living and the salvation of the dying. Purest Mary, let your name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, Blessed Lady, to rescue me whenever I call on you. In my temptations, in my needs, I will never cease to call on you, ever repeating your sacred name, Mary, Mary. What a consolation, what sweetness, what confidence fills my soul when I utter your sacred name or even only think of you! I thank the Lord for having given you to us, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering your name. Let my love for you, prompt me ever to hail you Mother of Perpetual Help.

Oh Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for me and grant me the favor I confidently ask of you. {Mention your petition. Let us also unite our intentions to request Our Mother of Perpetual Help to pray to God, the Father of mercies, to end this pandemic.} Amen!

Hail Mary...(3 times)
